The internet is a classic Pandora’s Box. You never really know what you’re going to get when you lift the lid and peek in. Case in point. You are hoping to find a training plan that sounds do-able in your delicate situation. One that fits your lifestyle. One that speaks to you (and you alone) in soothing tones. And above all, one that maximises your goals with minimal effort. Ha.
And then you stumble upon this: http://www.ironcowboy.co/#home
That’s 50 Iron Mans in 50 days, in 50 states.
If ‘Couch to 5k’ is at one end of the spectrum, then this is surely way, way out there at the other end. Somewhere just at the event horizon, perhaps.
Still, good luck to him. It will be quite an achievement if he finishes. Now I need to go back to work, and occasionally peek online for that elusive plan. And comfort myself that if I ever went off at the deep end like Mr Lawrence, the Iron Cowboy from Utah, then at least I only have 32 counties to consider 😉

I have just finished reading Gerry Duffys book about running 32 Marathons in 32 days around Ireland during 2010. I highly recommend it
